During the Open Gardens Weekend, the gates of parks, gardens and other city greenery will open in Pilsen, including places normally closed to the public. The two-day programme promises, for example, guided tours and walks, talks, lectures, activities for children, and exhibitions. You will learn why natural areas are an important part of both the city and our lives and how to take care of them in the best possible way. You can slip behind the green curtain at these places in Pilsen: the Luft’s Garden (Luftova zahrada), the community garden Pěstírna DEPO2015, the garden of the grammar school on Mikulášské Square or the Dominican monastery garden on Jiráskovo Square with its herb and meditative area, the university garden, the educational area on the embankment of the Large Bolevec Pond (Velký Bolevecký rybník), the Sofronka arboretum, the nature school garden of the Lazaretní Kindergarten and Primary school, the garden of the TOTEM Intergenerational and Volunteer Centre, the urban place Zuzka’s Garden, the private Garden at Guinea Pigs, and Jedlá Garden (Jedlá zahrada).
