International Dixieland Festival

On the last weekend of July, you will enjoy a festival dedicated to jazz in Pilsen, when live music will brighten the historical centre. Fall under the spell of this genre and let yourself be told a story about spontaneity and traditions. The first tones of Dixieland jazz sounded already at the beginning of 20^th century in New Orleans and gradually spread from overseas to the whole world. They haven’t, however, lost anything from the vibrant spirit. A stream of energy will flow through the streets both days with parades of jazz bands from Czechia and also abroad that will easily put you in a good mood. It would nearly be a sin not to dance to quality Dixieland music, so you can move to the dancing floor in adjacent cafés.
