The door to extraordinary artistic experiences will be opened – or left slightly ajar – by the international festival of new theatre and performance Nastevřeno. How the city around is changing, who we can meet in the streets and what the spaces of the Southern Suburb (Jižní Předměstí) in Pilsen around the cultural centre Moving Station are or can be used for in the future will be explored through performances by artists from Czech Republic and abroad. Pilsen will be revealed to you not only through the eyes of performers who already know it well, but also thanks to those who will let the unique character of this place impress them for the very first time. In addition to a wide variety of theatre, music and dance, during Nastevřeno, you can look forward to exhibitions, art installations and other inspiring activities such as thematic walks, workshops or community clean-up and feast. The festival programme is designed to people of all ages, so families with children will also find something to enjoy.
Original contemporary art projects can be seen in several locations of the Souther Suburb: around the culture scene Moving Station, near the former Central Canteen Production Facility of Škoda Works and the school in Nerudova Street and around the CAN Bus Station in Husova Street.
Admission to outdoor events is for free; tickets or reservation in advance are necessary for particular performances and workshops. A detailed programme is available on the festival website.
