We cannot even imagine Pilsen without its iconic yellow trams. Did you know that some of them celebrate milestone birthdays this year? And you can be part of it. 70 years have flown by since the first ride of T1 trams and T2 trams has been cruising the streets for 65 years now. Two veterans of public transport, K3R-NT and T3R-P trams, will also take a well-deserved retirement, so you will see them in regular service for the last time.
Celebrations will take place from 10 am to 4 pm at the U Zvonu turning loop where Pilsen city public transport is preparing not only a stall with souvenirs, but also an entertaining accompanying programme. All the trams mentioned above will take you on a tour around the city every hour. You will enjoy a slightly nostalgic half an hour. You don’t need a ticket; however, the boarding station is located only at the U Zvonu turning loop, boarding anywhere else is not possible. Where a ticket will definitely come in handy, though, are the final rides of both tram grannies setting off on their royal farewell journey at 4:30 pm. The tickets can be found at the Vstupenka Pilsen website.
