Nothing lifts your spirits like a day spent with friends. And we have the perfect plan for you – from morning till late evening! The aroma of fresh baked goods, adrenaline on the water, stories hidden in historical streets and also music, which make the whole city dance, are waiting for you. And in the evening? A cocktail in your hand and a view you’ll always remember. Get ready for a day full of fun, because Pilsen offers everything you need to make your day unforgettable.

Brunch as a Lifestyle
A great breakfast guarantees a pleasant start of the day. And that definitely means brunch in Pilsen. Le Frenchie is a legend among Pilsen cafés. Their fresh croissants are renowned, and you will also enjoy a hearty full English breakfast or you can have your own “girly” open sandwich prepared, made exactly as you like. An absolutely fabulous brunch menu is offered in the Fred Bistro. Here, you will get, for example, apricot dumplings and Caesar salat on avocado toast, plus excellent coffee, of course. Do you take pictures of food? Then you have to visit The Fresh Bar in the very centre of Pilsen. Their motto is #wedoinstafoodtasty – yummy food that looks great. Smoothie bowls with fruits and colourful open sandwiches will stand out in your feed.

Exploring the History and Mysteries of the City
Almost 20 kilometres of passages, cellars and water wells of the Pilsen Historical Underground form the third largest underground labyrinth in the Czech Republic. The entrance is located in the former brewery house which houses the Brewery Museum. And you will enjoy the cool passages not only during hot summer days. You will feel like ladies from the First Republic in the beautiful stylish interiors by the world-renowned architect Adolf Loos. You can admire his imaginative solutions for living spaces in several Pilsen apartments which have survived despite the dramatic fates of their original owners. For example, the Brummel House, to which Mr. and Mrs. Brummel returned after the end of the Second World War on the same day. Each from a different concentration camp, without knowing about each other. It’s like from a movie, isn’t it?
And it wouldn’t be a ladies’ trip to Pilsen if there was no beer! You can enjoy it to the fullest at the legendary Pilsner Urquell Brewery, where you can look around during the tour and even learn how to pour beer properly. But if you crave some special beers, Pilsen and its surroundings offer several craft and small breweries where you’ll find THE one for sure.
You’re in the European Capital of Culture
Pilsen received this title ten years ago, but it lives up to it to this day. Countless events throughout the season attract visitors to entertainment right in the streets of the West Bohemian metropolis. The beginning of September belongs to street artists in Pilsen. The traditional Pilsen Busking Fest (4th – 7th September) will once again offer a showcase of buskers including dozens of musicians, dancers, theatre performers, magicians, acrobats, and other comedians, to whom you can simply contribute “to the hat”. The symbolical highlight of the summer cultural season and the celebration of the tenth anniversary of Pilsen acquiring the title European Capital of Culture will be a multi-genre show called Spotlight Pilsen (12th September – 14th September). For three days, you will be entertained by acrobats, music, theatre, and light effects, and above all by the spectacular acrobatic performance by the Spanish group Voalá Station, during which the artists will float through the air suspended on cranes.

After a Day Full of Experiences, You Deserve to Relax with a Drink in Your Hand
Pilsen offers a plenty of bars where you and your friends will enjoy the great atmosphere. Head to, for example, Prosekárna in the magical Malá Street, where you will find a wide selection of prosecco, from rosé to extra brut. If you’re in the mood for top-quality wine, visit Na břehu Rhôny in Bezručova Street, where you can taste wine and pour it to yourself – just like at home. And if you’re looking for something really exceptional, head to Vineria Symposio in Františkánská Street. Every month, they organize wine testing and brunches on the weekend. The perfect end to a day full of experiences.
Pilsen is a city that has something to offer not only to lovers of culture and good food, but also to those who are looking for new experiences and inspiration. Explore unusual places, great bars, but also quiet corners, where you can let yourself be carried away by the charm of this city. After the whole day spent in Pilsen, you will find out that it is an ideal destination for spending time together, which you and your friends will enjoy to the fullest.
