The second Night of Breweries will take you once again to places where the art of brewing flourishes. This year, the widely attended celebrations of Czech beer and everyone who take care of its production will spread from the Pilsen Region to two other regions, Central Bohemian and Moravian-Silesian Region. Every brewery is preparing an exclusive programme. During unique evening tours, you will walk through places, where the golden liquid is created, join a tapping school and meet masters of the industry – brewmasters. They will give you an insight into the brewery craft with all its joys and challenges. You will learn about not only traditional brewing methods, but also innovations in the modern brewing. Beer tastings and other accompanying activities are also an integral part of the Night of Breweries. You will taste not only Czech lager, but also beers like IPA, bock, sour (“kyseláč”) or the wheat one. Special batches or limited edition of beers will also be brewed exclusively for this occasion.
Why is the Night of Breweries planned at the end of April?
Right at that time, in 1869, the so-called Propination Law, which strongly limited foundations of breweries, brewing and selling of beer, was abolished. Since then, nothing practically stood in the way of the brewing boom, which is why we can enjoy the diversity of beer styles and also the number of quality breweries today. So far, twenty-one of them have joined the event in the Pilsen region, some of which are not usually open to the public at all.
The programme for 2026 is currently being prepared.
