The beginning of June in Pilsen is connected with the popular metal music festival in the Lochotín amphitheatre, where lovers of hard music come from all over. Every year, Metalfest can boast a packed music programme in which world-class bands appear. Not only music icons from abroad, but also from Czechia perform here. Among the various genres of metal music, every devoted fan will find their own favourite. Metalfest is also attractive thanks to the place where it is held for three days. In the amphitheatre in Lochotín, you don’t have to worry that you won’t see the stage, you can take a seat up at the top and the view will still be fantastic. From the area, it is just a few steps to the adjacent park. You can also enhance the trip for great music with a visit to the Pilsen Zoo, located right next to the festival. You can get here from the centre of Pilsen by public transport in 15 minut.
This year, the metal summer at the amphitheatre starts two days earlier with a concert of the legendary band Sabaton.
