The exhibition Face to Face follows on from the project “Face of Pilsen”, which captured ten portraits of the local inhabitants in 2015. Through the individual faces and stories, the project was supposed to show the cultural and also social diversity of Pilsen, as well as the everyday life in the city. Eight authors participated in the realization of the charitable exhibition at that time: Jiří Bouma, Aleš Brázdil, Martin Herold, Alžběta Josefy, Jan Mikulka, Václav Sika, Zdeněk Trs and Jan Uldrych. After ten years, the follow-up exhibition at the Pilsen Municipal Gallery includes not only the original portraits, but also the current works of all involved authors. You can therefore see for yourself how their art has developed over the past decade. The current exhibition Face to Face reflects the shifts in chosen topics, motifs, technique and style, but it also conveys the solid core from which the artists’ works grow. Some of the pictures will be seen by the public for the very first time.
