Night with Smetana in the brewery

Two centuries since the birth of the genius of Czech music will be celebrated in the area of Pilsner Urquell brewery by the open air event Night with Smetana. The author’s grammar school years and his first compositional achievements are connected with Plzeň, so it is certainly appropriate to remember him. The spectacular 19th century-style show will tell the story of Smetana’s life, his work and his music, presented by leading Czech soloists under the direction of Chuhei Iwasaki, chief conductor of the Pilsen Philharmonic.
