If you are looking for great film experiences, don’t miss the Festival Animanie – the largest international competition of animated films and games by children and young people in Czechia. 20th year of the festival will be held at Moving Station, one of the main culture zones in Pilsen.
From 20th to 23rd November, you will see the showcase of feature-length or short animated films by young talents up to 26 years of age from Czechia and foreign countries. You can choose from over a hundred of brand-new pieces or gems that nowadays belong to classics of the genre. In addition to the screenings, you will have the opportunity to personally meet the filmmakers and inspirational guests or take a look into animation and gaming workshops. Under the guidance of professionals, you will find out the background of the creative process. You can also play games, which participate in the competition, in a popular game zone. To the 20th anniversary, an accompanying concert will take place, whereas a thematic exhibition will document the history of the festival, from its origins as a regional showcase to its current status of an acclaimed international platform. The last piece to the film puzzle is a series of inspiring lectures and debates.
